STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS

"Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Her five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new lifeforms and new civilizations; to boldly go where no one has gone before."

Captain's Log, Stardate: 2259.55; John Brownbill Commanding Officer USS Explorer NCC-1708

Star Trek Into Darkness, from beginning to end, is one huge adventure ride;

Benedict Cumberbatch as John Harrison is brilliant, he is so devious and evil, without a care in the world, his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is the only thing that could compare in style.

Chris Pine reprises his role of Captain James Tiberius Kirk, Commanding Officer of the famous USS Enterprise NCC-1701, getting into trouble left, right and centre (as always)

Zachary Quinto back as his Half Human/Half Vulcan Science Officer Commander Spock, giving Kirk the logical choices in his career.

Zoe Saldana as Spock's girlfriend and Kirk's Communication's Officer, the multi-lingual Lieutenant Nyota Uhura giving Kirk a tough time and Spock a tougher time, understandable when you know!

Bruce Greenwood returns as Admiral Christopher Pike, former Captain of the Enterprise and Kirk's mentor and friend and his every scenes are memorable.

and Alice Eve as Dr Carol Marcus (for those who have seen Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Kahn, she is an ex of Kirk's in that film) oozes more sex appeal than the late Bibi Besch (R.I.P)
